One Month of Boston Left

One month from today I head down to DC to move into my new apartment (just sent my lease paperwork off today). I'll be living two blocks from the Cleveland Park metro stop, for those who know the area, and working as a AAAS fellow in the Climate Division of the EPA (well, after two weeks of orientation, first).

Hypothetically I'll want to see people over the next month, and maybe even having a going away party (or perhaps a going away picnic in the park if the weather is nice - maybe Sunday August 24th?). However, fair warning that travel, weddings, work, girlfriend, and family issues have swallowed most of my life, so I don't know if I will actually succeed in seeing many people, and I apologize if I miss you. I haven't even been dancing (squares _or_ contra) in almost two months so I will also try to remedy that. I do plan to visit Boston fairly frequently, though, so it isn't like I'll be disappearing totally (not like if I'd taken the New Zealand offer, for example). And people are welcome to come visit me in DC, which isn't very far away! Plus, free Museums and Zoos and Stuff!

I'm not sure that we'll see each other before you head off to DC, so I just wanted to say good luck with the move and all the best for making the world a better place. I'm glad to know that you will be among the science advisors in DC. We need more people like you!

(In the meantime, I'm going to be taking my first proper Spanish class, so next time hablamos en espanol!)

heya marcus. just wanted to say enjoy your last month, and i don't know if i'll see you before you go down to DC (only getting back to boston in time for fenway's workweek)... but miss you, and hope DC is awesome, and while i have no idea if it'll happen, for what it's worth, i would love to visit you in DC. and go contra dancing.

i do hope to see you before you leave, although i won't be dancing tonight or friday night, alas. thursday, however, should *ROCK*!, and i definitely plan to be there and add my self to the overwhelming crowds.
