Graduating (in practice, darn it!)

marcusmarcusrcA year ago last week I posted an LJ entry stating that I was on the February degree list, and graduating "in theory". I knew it was a stretch goal, but thought that it was a good start.
Obviously, I had miscalculated just how much I was stretching.
Anyway, at my committee meeting today we discussed: An early December defense date. A mid-November mini-defense. Turning in draft chapters (2 next week, one in two weeks, and the conclusion chapter by mid-October). So... this time, for real. Darn it.
I do have order one hundred pages of written material already, so I believe that this is eminently doable. But forgive me if I act at all erratically in the next couple of months, as my productivity waxes and wanes and I oscillate between desperately needing socialization and totally ignoring everyone to concentrate on writing. (And thank you to my various writing companions for our productive study halls!)
