I put myself on the February degree list today. That means I am theoretically graduating soon. Assuming I actually write that thesis thing that has been hanging over my head for years. I know I'm _capable_ of it, but capability of doing something and actually getting it done are sometimes different things. I'm usually good with deadlines, but when the deadline is to complete a 200 page document which is supposed to make Actual Advances in the Field of Science (TM) my confidence wavers...

Which means I should get back to figuring out what numbers I should use for elasticities in sectoral control of various pollutants.

Write that thesis! It will fall before you like so much, um, easily falling stuff! Rar!

I wrote a thesis once. I don't recommend doing one just after having a baby.

Lots of luck to you!

Thank you, "Charlotte". Now I have images of you holding up a stuffed - what did we use? I want to say we didn't have a dog, and so used a rabbit or something?

The likelihood of my having a baby in the next 4 months is pretty much zero. Which is a good thing, because I do not reach your levels of superhumaness.

I adamantly deny that I'm a superhuman! So if I can do it, so can you. Hey, if my thesis counts as Actual Advances in the Field of Science, anyone can do it.

I don't recall the toy in question, and it was EMP who read the part. But you win points for getting the in-joke. :)

Actually, even if you can have a baby in the next 4 months, I'm pretty confident he can't. :) (Though if you're having a baby in the next 4 months, I'm behind on gossip. :) )

Hey, if he can have a baby in the next 4 months, that would be a real advance in science. :-)

Aha! Now all I have to do is figure out how to justify these numbers to my committee... though maybe if I bury them deep enough in the thesis, no one will ever know!

No gossip here. :)

Eh, just use 1. All elasticities can be approximated as 1.
