Delayed emails

Similarly to desireearmfeldt my alum account has apparently been holding on to email for times longer than ideal (at least 7 non-spam emails came in 12 to 24 hours after they were sent - who knows if there are others that are still waiting in the bowels of the server), so please act appropriately.

that happened to a fenway house alum recently, as well, he only got some important email a lot later. hrm.

what's up with this baseball insanity recently, eh? i found time, for the first time in months, to sit down in front of a tv, with the purpose of sifting through the hundreds of channels that fenway house has, and find one that was broadcasting wimbledon, the biggest grand slam of the year for tennis. there were at least ten channels showing various baseball games, a couple of channels with a world cup match, and not a SINGLE channel with tennis! no wimbledon!

Part of the insanity is probably because the Red Sox are currently on a 12 game win streak.

My particular recent interest is because I went to last Saturday's game (having gotten tickets from the MIT lottery that I entered ages ago) and it was an absolutely amazing game.

Though in my office, despite a large number of sox fans, all anyone can talk about is the world cup. But my office mate is brazilian, there's a french guy in the office next door (they play tomorrow, that will be fun), a netherlands native in the office across the hall, etc etc.
