Weird Event of the Day

I was getting money at the ATM, and there was a guy wearing a robe getting filmed at the ATM next to me.

Being in the vicinity of MIT, I didn't think twice about this. Except... somewhere in my brain a little bell was going off, telling me I should look more closely. And so I looked straight at the guy and realized I recognized his robe! Ten years ago I wore that exact robe in my Tempest performance! (note that if that picture were from an actual performance, I wouldn't be wearing my glasses. Also note the Gamelan orchestra in the background - we were doing a "Balinese" style Tempest. And finally, note the tiny scruff of beard which I had worked _very_ hard to grow. Shush you, Visage!)

The kid was apparently doing some Da Vinci Code movie.

I was briefly very puzzled by how this other guy had managed to wear your scruff of a beard. Had you stored it with the robe?

i was sitting in ensemble office when i read your entry. and promptly scrambled around to find the photo album of the years between 1994 and 2000 to look at more pictures. but i can't find it! boo. i'll keep looking. :)

It was make a movie in 48 hours weekend. I bet that has an actual name.

heh. I'd be amused to see pictures of Three Sisters and Love's Labour's Lost. Though what I really want is to go back to my high school and see if I can find a videotape of our 8th grade performance of Harvey...

48 Hour Film Project, I believe. I should have remembered that, I'm on an email list for it. Not that I had time this year. But maybe one day!

I was at that performance! justom fell asleep on my shoulder!

Justom claims that he fell asleep in Three Sisters, and not Tempest. Not that that makes it any better. Of course, he didn't know you back at Three Sisters, so maybe this means he actually fell asleep during _two_ of my performances!

I cannot confirm nor deny the Three Sisters incident, but he definately fell asleep on my shoulder at the Tempest. :)
